Library Project @ Rumah Nurul Hidayah, Kg. Cheh

I can confirm now that 6 people will be going to Kati from Kuala Lumpur. 2 cars would be enough to load in the books and the people for the trip on Saturday, 23rd February. The people:My colleagues and buddies;Farouq & Mamagie, myself,Ryzah, Bro Nasrun and wife, Kak Nett.
We will be leaving KL by 9.00 a.m. No rush-rush - just like Janda Baik's trip last time.
Perhaps, we can have our lunch in Ipoh (lunch plan at Rumah Nurul Hidayah is scrapped after discussing it with En Manap just now) . Hmmm...Nasi Ganja Jalan Raja Yang Kalsom could be a nice treat for Nasi Ganja's first timers like Ryzah and the rest if they are OK with spicy mamak food.
The itinerary for the rest of the day is remained the same.
Oh, before I forget, my friend Norsalina and Abang Jiwarasa would be joining us from Ipoh that day.

Beluda?

Beluda-like bread at The Loaf, Pavilion,KL .Awang Goneng must be smiling from ear to ear if he reads this.

Library Project: Rumah Nurul Hidayah

I am planning to go to send the books to Rumah Nurul Hidayah, Kg Cheh, Bukit Gantang, Perak on 23rd February 2008. It's not going to be a day trip.We have to stay there since the place is quite far from KL-unless you want to drive home on the same day. They got homestay program where we can stay with families in the village.

I have not decide yet whether to go to K.Kangsar in the morning or afternoon on the 23rd. If we go in the afternoon, more people can join in especially for people who is working that day. That night, after dinner, perhaps we can do some program with the kids or we can do things like wrapping the books or just doze off. The next morning, we set up the library and by lunch we can return to KL.

What do you think?

For your information, the home has about 20 children, mostly teenagers. The youngest is 3 years old. The home is managed by En Abdul Manap Hj Mohamad Tahir. He is also running the Bukit Gantang Homestay. I have spoken to him just now and he's more than happy to receive us that weekend.

So, Anedra,Pak Zabs, Pak Adib, Akmal, Mueiz and the rest who missed the last trip to Janda Baik, I am looking forward to see you guys this time.

Do let me know as soon as possible if you want to come along. My number is 019-6925192.

Ask!Ask!Ask!

I love the Principle 15 of Jack Canfield's How to Get from Where You Are to Where You Want to Be:

Ask!Ask!Ask!

I went to KeKKWA today to clarify on my eligibility for SLPS's grant application in order to study theatre clowning for nearly 2 months under the great Giovanni Fusetti in Boulder, Colorado in late 2008. They said OK for me to reapply considering that there is a gap of 3 years since my last application in 2005.

Still, it is up to the panel members to decide when they table up and deliberate on all the application.

Anyway, I got nothing to lose. If I don't ask, the answer will always be No!

Note: I am applying for the grant to attend Giovanni Fusetti's two of three workshops at Boulder International Clown School, Colorado from August 26th to September 17th (The Red Nose) and September 22nd to October 5th (Clown's Life).

All in all, I estimate that I need to raise around RM15,000 for this study trip covering course fee of US$1400 (for 2 workshops),lodgings, stipends and airfare.

Missing

I missed it very much.

It's a world where failure is always a triumph.

It's where ridiculousness is beautiful.

It's where laughter is sacred.

Rumah Nur Zaharah Library Project: The Visit

Posted by Picasa

A very nice Saturday indeed.
Alhamdulillah, the weather was so nice.

Everything ran smoothly.

Everyone did their parts.

Some helped in the kitchen to prepare the BBQ.

Some went upstairs to set up the shelves and clean the room.

Some, helped to arrange the books accordingly.

Some helped the kids with maths.

Some helped to do simple health check-ups.

Only one person pretending that he was so busy running around.

Ah, that's me!
It was great to see everyone did their parts that day.

Let the photos tell the whole story.
